I opened three accounts in a couple of minutes. Their security verification is a joke. And by the way, the social security is a question they will ask you if you lose your password or username.

  2. Citydweller says:

I know of a site that doesn’t ask for all the verification shit, that could use new members, AND that has all the news stories and more that TB has…

    😉

  3. Wonder says:

They don’t need me on TalkBack. I was there with no reports for ten years. They dumped us all for no reason. They do not need me.

Dump me once, shame on you.
But you will not get the chance to
    Dump me twice!!!

  4. galty says:

    Sorry Becky.

Just read your first question again.

I first registered in 2001 and was excepted.

Was asked at a later date (about 5 years later and after u had been banned) to give my details I did so and was rejected, had to send over 4 Es explaining that I was foreign before I was able to post, These where the same details that TB are asking for now except they are asking for the first three SS numbers.

So all TB are asking this time from old members who gave other details is to provide your SS numbers.

  5. galty says:

    ExTalkbacker.

Talkback did not ask for my visa card number Pin or code if they had I would not have given.

They ask for information that is asked everday of you and others.

By the way maybe when Becky needs money she just might sell all our E addresses to porn sites.

Ok so what if they have a name and address really they don’t know for sure it’s you. hey just put in the same address and name with it from the telephone book… Most emails address like gmail/hotmail/excite ..yahoo etc. can’t really confirm your address. I have many email accounts with fake address’s so really how can they really verify it’s you…. We all can change our ip #’s ,so if that’s what they are doing that won’t work either… confused here… I also know of other ways of it coming off the same computer on forums but in some households there are multiple users and some of these forums DON’T like this… which isn’t right either everyone should be able to join on any computer friends/families etc… Hey if they mess up posting then ban them…. just sayin!!!!

  7. Ex-Talkbacker says:

    Hey Galty,

What’s your Visa card number, PIN, and security code? Don’t be paranoid, just post it.

The point is that it’s a forum. They want people to stand behind their posts, but truly they don’t want to REALLY know what we have to say. They just want to be able to track you down if some school board libtard complains again.

  8. William H. says:

Anyone know how to beat LOL’s security gate?

  9. lalady says:

They probably wear pillow cases on their heads and stalk people LOL!

  10. Ron says:

Do you give out personal information for loans, banks, doctors, hospitals, online purchases? Voting, insurance. Almost everyone asks for a SSN. I only give four digits. Never been challenged.I could go on and on.

  11. Ron says:

I suspect this is more information floating around on all of us then we care to believe. This is nothing. Try goggling names that you know.

  12. Ron says:

I was not verified, but was still allowed to post. Go figger. 🙂

  13. galty says:

    Becky.

    My point exactly.

  14. galty says:

    Think you are all paranoid.

Never ever relised how The (censored) had so much effect on you all

Never ever click on a search engine such as Google, never ever go out of your house as you are being recorded.

Never ever ask for credit as it will be passed on.

  15. Snarkinosis says:

Wow, they didn’t ask for a blood sample to run some DNA?

  16. anonymous2 says:

Offer a big enough cash prize and I’M IN!

(I don’t have to give my SSN when I pick up the money, do I?)

  17. Ex-Talkbacker says:

The first three numbers of SS numbers only reflect the State in which your number was issued. You can find the list online.

I will attempt to join up using bogus info to see if I can get verified. I doubt they check EVERY single person (I doubt they check at all), it’s far too time consuming.

So, I will give this a go and see how it ends up. I will even reveal my screen name here after a few posts to prove it. I expect to be banned, I just want to prove it can be done.

    • Becky says:

Wow! Who knew having a website could be this exciting? You are the best! 😛

Hey, thinking I could turn this into a contest? 😉 😛

  18. barryinwinnipeg says:

So how would they ever “verify” someone from Lancaster County who has retired to Canada which has no “zip code”? It’s maddening to try to squeeze a Canadian postal code into an American data base (we use capital letters and numerals). Also, as far as Social Security numbers go, why not just say “pick your lucky two digit number” as they have no access to a Social Security Data Base.

  19. ChemTrail Air says:

I would absolutely never provide that much info to a talk forum. That database could be sold for big bucks to marketers. Are they crazy??

Its the same reason I don’t have a website, Facebook account, MySpace account or twitter account. The collection and use of this information goes way beyond what Orwell ever dreamed of and it never ceases to amaze me that people are volunteering this information.

  20. William H. says:

It’s the SS# question that is WAY out of line. They’ve got their rules. Violate ’em, and you’re dumped. Sign on with a different nam/break the conduct rule(s)/get dumped again. Are they too friggin lazy to dump someone?

  21. Stay Low says:

Its so you can get sued,,,when some malcontent gets upset when things are said about them. LNP will be able to provide the info upon Subpoena.

  22. Anonymous says:

haha I gave the wrong SS# and it let me in….

  23. Anonymous says:

No I think they are way outta line on this one.. 🙂 .

    • Becky says:

I’m curious about the “Security Question.” Do they verify the sum of the first three digits of your social security number – which means they (or the service they use) know your full number or is it just a question like, “What city were you born in” so if they need to later verify it’s really you they check the answer you gave – and obviously you could say any city?

Wow! Hope that question makes sense! 😛
